Athena Mason

Eva Athena Mason is an organizing coordinator at the Union of Concerned Scientists, where she works with scientists, advocates, and community members to build volunteer networks and drive engagement around critical science and policy issues. Prior to joining UCS, she led voter registration and civic engagement programs across Texas, built and managed distributed volunteer networks spanning multiple regions, and organized petition campaigns to decriminalize low-level marijuana offenses in Dallas, secure civil service protections and collective bargaining rights for Frisco firefighters, and place environmentalist candidates on the ballot. She holds a BS in biology with a minor in neuroscience from Texas A&M University.
