About the Science Network

The UCS Science Network helps scientists transform their concerns into action, defend against attacks on science, and embrace their roles as advocates in their own communities.

We train and coach our Science Network experts to meet with their state legislators and members of Congress. Opportunities depend on each member's expertise, but range from advocacy on climate resilience to global security to a sustainable food system. Experts involved in the UCS Science Network are encouraged to write public comments that help strengthen public protections, testify in front of decision makers, provide technical support to local community groups, and more.

Members must meet eligibility requirements, but membership is free: we're stronger together!

The Science Network embraces the full diversity of scientists, including different backgrounds and perspectives. Anti-racist work is central to achieving our vision, along with diversity, inclusion, and equity. Members are asked to adhere to our Science Network Code of Conduct (PDF).
