Meisei Gonzalez (born Paul Rogelio Gonzalez-Lugo) is a strategic communications officer with the Union of Concerned Scientists. In his role, Meisei leads communications strategy, media relations, public education, and storytelling to move people to action.
Prior to joining UCS, Meisei was a senior climate justice & clean air advocate with Green Latinos. An environmental justice advocate, his work includes local organizing in Utah, national advocacy, and international climate spaces, with a focus on clean air, climate justice, and environmental equity. He also co-hosts Stay Salty: Lakefacing Stories, a multimedia storytelling project exploring community, identity, and the future of the Great Salt Lake. Meisei earned a BA in communications and media studies from the University of Utah.
